Benie Capitolin
Founder & Principal Consultant
Benie Capitolin is a former educator and current education administrator with ten years of experience working in the education sector. She was born in Layou, Dominica and immigrated to the United States with her family at five years old. She grew up in the Boston neighborhoods of Mattapan, Roxbury, and Dorchester before attending the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and Carnegie Mellon University. She currently holds a Master’s degree in English Literature and Culture with a focus on Race, Politics, and Identity.

Benie has taught general education, special education, and English as a Second Language (ESL) in K-12, inner-city schools in Boston, MA. As an educator, she specialized in the design and delivery of rigorous, culturally responsive, trauma-informed curricula and supports that met the needs of all students. As an administrator, Benie has been committed to the creation and implementation of systems and resources that center historically marginalized communities and reverse the effects of systemic oppression. Benie partners with schools, programs, and districts to create a world where all students are given the tools to thrive as their whole selves.
